International Conferences in Science, Engineering and Technology
Instructions for presentations
Oral, poster and virtual presentations at Science Guru conferences.
Oral presentations
Contributed oral presentations are 15 minutes long, including 5 minutes for questions and discussion. The paper must be presented by one of the authors or co-authors. Present with your own laptop or the PC available in the session room (Windows and PowerPoint): come to the session room with your laptop or a pen drive with your presentation file. A volunteer helps start each presentation.
Poster presentations
The maximum poster size is 36 inches wide by 48 inches high (3 ft × 4 ft). You provide your own printed poster. Set it up in the morning before the opening ceremony and remove it at the end of the session. One of the authors or co-authors must be present for discussion at the poster session. Posters are displayed in the conference room.
Virtual presentations
How to be a live video presenter
Submit an abstract or full paper, which goes through a double-blind peer review. After your participation is confirmed, the organising committee runs a test shortly before the conference and gives you guidelines on how to connect and present. After the conference you receive the soft copy of the certificate of presentation and the proceedings; your conference documents are sent to your address.
Requirements
- Laptop with headset, or desktop with webcam and microphone or headset
- Updated Chrome browser
- Virus protection paused before the start (otherwise it can block the webcam)
- A bright, calm place with a professional background
